Time for a brake rebulilt is approaching a must. Parts are purchased (brake lines, shoes, wheel cylinder the works...) - only need to figure out how to get the drums off. Is a 1964 CJ5 with 9" brakes swaged? I sure hope not. Thanks in advance for the replys.

    It has a D27 front and a D44 rear with 4.27 gears.

The front drums will come off with no problems. You'll need a hub puller to get the rear drums off. This would be a good time to upgrade to 11" drums.

Cool. I have a puller for the rear. Did the PETRONIX ignition give you better power?

My '52 had drums that were retained just like the front with a phillips screw. I only needed the hub puller to get the axle apart.
