I have just installed a 304 with a T-18 tranny in my Jeep, and have all the brackets and bolts to install a York compressor for on board air, in addition to a power steering pump. My 1973 CJ-5 did not have this previously, and it would be very helpful if someone here could post a picture or two so I could see how it all mounts up, or give me a site that might help. Any other advice
such as belt length, etc., would as be very helpful. Thanks, Doc.

Do these help? I took the a/c pump and brackets off. Modified the alternator bracket a little but it's in the same place as original.

Got it on Ebay for $100.00. It's a one wire 105 amp GM.

Is the correct belt configuration 1 belt for the a/c compressor and alternator and 2 belts for the power steering pump?

I don't know that it makes much difference. My PS pump happened to have a two belt pulley but I've seen plenty that only had one. I plan to put only one belt on each.

This is a rather poor picture but hopefully it will give you an idea of the pulley configuration. I'm also running an alternator on top of the York in isolation as my weldernator which runs off from the outer groove on the York. The inner groove on the York runs the main alternator while the pulley closest to the camera is the P/S.

If you have a dual groove pulley on the P/S, it was designed to run the air-pump for smog which was mounted just below and outward from the P/S pump.

AAH, that helps alot! For the time being I'm going to run two belts for the York compressor and one belt for the p/s. I forgot about the air pump! I was wondering about how to add an another alternator for welding, thanks for the idea. Doc
