I have a 65 CJ5 and there is about a 2" height difference between my brake pedal and clutch pedal. When you go to apply the brakes if your not careful your foot will hit the gas pedal. The p/o put a piece of metal pipe in between the spring on the draft pad and the pinch clamp where you attach the brake pedal. I was going to remove the piece of pipe to try and make the brake pedal stick out a little further but I can't because of the rod that attaches to the pedal and goes to the master cylinder. Is there any adjustment on the rod at the master cylinder? If not my only choice would be to fabricate a new brake pedal that is about 2" longer. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to correct this problem. I can take pictures and post them if this would help.

If you do not have a adjustable rod. You can purchas one. A lot easier than adding to brake pedal...
