Where is the cheapest place to get decent front 10 inch drum shoes? Part numbers, price?Anyone have some fairly new ones they dont want? I'm giving up on disk conversion for now -too much $ not enough time.

Go online to Checker Auto Parts. It's actually partsamerica.com, they're a parts distributor for several parts chains like Checker. I just bought four 11" brake drums for $28.99 each, NAPA wanted around $80 each for them. If you can surf around the site and find what you need, you might save a bunch.

Rock Auto is usually pretty cheap www.rockauto.com and they have new Raybestos for $36/axle. You may be able to do better than that, but the 10" brakes are something of an oddball today, so don't expect them to be available many places.

I found local National Auto Store for $30/axle + tax. Springs and hardware is a different story.

Autozone quoted me a price of less that $30 for 4 shoes for a 55 cj5. This is about the same as ebay, but there is no shipping. I think those were 9 inch shoes.
