tilt steering column

first off i would like to say hi to everyone, i havnt visited this site for a while. second, i would like to update everyone on my jeep...the latest upgrade i did was an HEI upgrade, what a difference from the stock prestolite system. i would highly recomend it.
Now, my question to all of you out there is, has any of you replaced the stock non-tilt jeep steering column with a tilt column from a chevy? if so, what model chevy would you get it from??

 

I have a YJ tilt column I am going to swap in. I just have to work out the wiring changes before I get started.

 

here is a reply from another post. try searching there is tons of info available. My Black one is a 77, that is the one I am going to use the S10 column in.

I did not use one off of a Chevy…but a buddy had one from a Caddy, I don’t remember what year exactly but I remember it was with in a year or two of my Jeep, which is a ’76. The cool thing about the Caddy is that it not only tilts but it also telescopes…gives a few more inches or my big gut. If I remember it also was also has the same wiring harness so it was quick and easy install.

I used one from a 1970 or 1971 Monte Carlo, because I had it laying around and it fit all the other pieces I had. Mounts look similar to the one in the photos above.
