Looks fantastic. I really like the color. Got SS Dutch on the June calendar at my desk; gonna be sad when July 1st comes around. :( Next year's calendar ought to look even better, though!

Heh...forgot about that. I didn't get one of those calendars. Kinda hoping once it's all done with the trailer painted to match I might have a shot at the calendar put together by the Midwest Willys guys.

Thanks...now onto dash, the new wiring harness, the RV water tank, plumbing the heat - essentially getting the interior all done and getting 'er driveable again. I had some brake issues I never fixed - I think either a collapsed line or bad MC as the fronts would keep locking up - like pressure wasn't being relieved.

I have an extra hood and fenders I can work on while still driving it - then once those are ready come back and start on the tub. I'll have to make the "bodywork or rockers" decision...;)

Booty from today's JY run - firewall grommets, a ground bus bar, 4.3 Logo for my glovebox door, and another retractable reel light but this one has an on/off switch.

I also ran across some pics of a champagne gold CJ5 that was on eBay a while back. I think the color I choose is going to be pretty close...

Add some Toyota parts to the mix...;)

I got the heater hoses routed through the firewall this afternoon. The boots are from a Toyota 4Runner.[IMG]

The left hole was existing, the right one I had to make. And now need some touchup paint...

Glovebox door on with a bit 'o junkyard bling added...

I ended up just using some generic bumpers from the hardware store - at $1.25 I couldn't justify ordering the "correct" ones.

Heh...on a whim I tried the ignition key to Dutch...and the dang thing locks and unlocks!

    Here's why I like Jeepers....

A local guy that I gave a wheel to mentioned he was a machinist...so I sent him McRuff's CAD drawing for the lower steering column bushing. Harry (the local guy) came and picked up my column and shaft and made the bushing for me (in addition to cleaning up the shaft where it sits in the bushing).

Thanks to Harry and McRuff - this looks soooo much better than the plastic that was in there:

Eh - it's a bit intimidating when you first pull it out of the box, but after working through it it won't be too bad. What I like about wiring is that it's so logical - you can focus on one wire at a time and either you have power or don't.

Funny the 21 circuit harness has wires for power door locks and power windows -- but no windshield washer or underhood light.

Heavy allergy day here...but the fuse box is mounted, the tow harness is in and attached to the main harness with diodes, and the rear harness is routed to the back of the Jeep.

Oh - so until now I hadn't seen a CJ6 in Gold...guess what just showed up on eBay:

Nice long day in the garage today:

    - Fabbed a mount for my relays and terminal strips using a piece of flat stock - it'll mount everything to the ds fender with 2 bolts.

    - Fabbed up a switch mount for the rear side light - the one I bought from the JY had a piece missing that I didn't notice, and after tearing both units down decided I couldn't make the parts interchange.

    - Got the rear harness pretty well routed inside the Jeep and through the rear wheelwell.

    - Front harness is routed into the engine compartment now.

    - Got the steering column tube mounted.
