    Well I've only seen one flatty powered by a 4bt thus far, and it had D60s front and rear, and a custom built frame undernath it. That alone oughtta tell you something.

    Nice , I remember watching the project and have alot of interest in it. I love oil burners . I have a question that you most likely can answer because I think you did it. Did you use the DJ Dual res master cylinder bracket ? If so was there any problems? I know where theres a 258 powered 71 DJ that I can buy for the price of Herms dual res kit.

    Yes, I did use it. You can see pics of mounted in Boyinks Flickr album that he shot at the wrenchfest. The bracket itself needed to be shortened on the bottom, and the plunger rod needed to be extended, but other than that I don't see why it won't work just fine. Is the '71 DJ that you found LHD?
