Steering Wheel Removal

    I just bought a nother CJ5 to use for parts the body is in great shape. I was told that the jeep had been outside for 10 years it looked awful good for that, then I talked to the guy when i went to buy it. It had been in a garage until a year ago when they tore it down. Anyway I am going to switch bodys I have soaked with WD 40 and ZEP 2000 it will not budge. Please help!

    If your tub is shot, pull the box off the frame (3 bolts) and pull it up thru whats left of your floorboards. Then you can put it in a vice and have at it.

    I was at Willys works in Tucson when a costumer brought in a photograph of the wooden steering wheel puler that had been built by somebody here on this site or the Willys tech site, can't remember which one it was their only concern was that the puler might flair out. The main shaft with the threats
    otherwise, it was a pretty good idea
