Permatex Question

    This is a simple question, and I thought the answer would have on the product directions. I used some Permatex Ultra Black this morning on the bottom access plate on my xfer case. The directions say it fully cures in 24 hours. Do I need to wait that long before I put oil in and use the jeep, or can it be placed in service sooner?

    If you used only a thick bead of the Ultra Black without a gasket I would recommend letting it set per the instructions. If you just coated a gasket with sealant I would give it a couple hours only.
