Just got my 75 moving after a full rebuild....all new clutch parts and clutch pedal linkages except for the bellcrank. (Had a wacked out PO)Cannot seem to adjust it though.... Clutch grabs ok...but if I put the pedal past 1/2-3/4 down I get a funny clicking noise and cannot shift into gear. Can a clutch be misadjusted to allow to "deep" of a throwout bearing travel? Looking at the FSM there are some shims that mount between the inner bellcrank mount and the clutch housing (My Jeep has no shims) Is it possible that I need these shims/spacers to prevent to prevent from "overapplying" the clutch?

i don't know if you can "overapply" the clutch. :?

more likely, you don't have enough movement in the clutch fork, which only allows partial disengagement of the clutch disc, making it difficult to shift. it's possible to have the bellcrank backwards. the arms at each end, while similar, are slightly different length. the longer arm is used at the push rod for the fork, while the shorter arm connects with the rod to the clutch pedal.

another possibility is the length of the rod to the clutch fork needs to be extended, by turning the sleeve to do so. that way, you'll get positive contact sooner when depressing the pedal.
