I have a stupid question. I'm looking at a set of 2 1/2" superlift springs for my 3A. I'm also looking to get rid of the C shackles and swap in a set of modern H shackles, greaseable if possible. Being that the original shackle brackets on the frame are threaded, I just want to make sure that the bushings will fit in the threaded inserts on the bracket. Thanks Guys!

Yes the poly bushings will go in the threaded holes, just make sure you lube the poly bushings when you install them.

Thanks! That's a question that no one at any of the vendors I contacted could or would answer.

What brackets are you guys talking about? My 52 did not have threads in the shackle or spring hanger brackets. The original C shackles bolted on like a sex screw. I pulled them out and and cleaned the hangers up with some emory paper and the new bushings slid right in.

I have Superlift + Conferr non-greased shackles. I dont think there is a significant need for greased on our rigs. Spend the savings on something else for the Jeep.

Thanks for the input Jon...what do you use for bushings in the threaded hole for the shackle? Did you shackles come with bushings?

I got mine from energy suspension. I greased them up with the white grease they come with and a 6 inch C- clamp to squeeze them in.

I just wanted to make sure that dimensionally they would work. There's nothing I hate more than ordering parts, going to install them and realizing you can't use them...
