Hi all has anyone ever used one of these. Looks like a great jeep heater. Can be mounted pretty much anywhere.
    Can you see any drawbacks?

These things are *Not* cheap, check the prices for them on EBay. :(

Plus, the gas fired models are notoriously finicky, you're looking at things like fuel pumps, ignition circuits, safety cutoffs yadda yadda yadda.

IMHO unless you need to heat your jeep while it isn't running or you've converted the thing to an aircooled engine (making it a *Jeep* *Thing* :)) you're way further ahead with a unit that makes heat using coolant (Heatant?)

Yep. We have replaced quite a few igniters in our fleet.

I would be worried about co gasses from burnt fuel.

I had one several years ago like them on a VW dune buggy it made a lot of noise and never really worked that good, it heated good when it worked but it allways had something broke or burned out. a real P.I.A.
