Does anyone use any type of fuel additive to clean the fuel system or for any other reason?

If the fuel system needs cleaned that badly I take a can of carb cleaner and clean the carburetor up with it. :)

From what I've read, others can correct me if I'm wrong, most of today's gasolines have enough detergent in them to keep the fuel system clean.

Otherwise, take the gas tank out, have it boiled, replace the fuel line, rebuild the carb and be sure and soak it in chem dip - only for the most extreme cases.

Are you having an issue you're trying to solve?

Only one I'd use is Marvel Mystery Oil, but I've never had any issues and all my vehicles were atleast 15 years old.

No, just curious. I have always been skeptical, but I have never been able to get an honest answer from the guys at the auto store as to whether or not the products work. I don't really put much faith in a salesmens response. They are in the business of selling stuff.

Used to use lead substitute for a while, then use MMO when it's going to setup for a while.

Filling your tank once with high octane should do the trick. It has the same stuff the fuel cleaners sold at Autozome have in it.

I persomally wouldn't use anything unless I had an issue I was trying to correct. If I had a carb issue I might try a addivite to clear out any gunk buildup but I wouldn't add some with every tank. I think the best idea is to run with a good fuel filter and change it annually or more often depending on milleage. One exception might be Stabil in the case of long term storage. In the past I had considered lead additive on pre 75 engines but I recently rebuilt a 48 L134 and there were no valve issues so I don't even run lead additive.

    I use Dry-Gas occasionally.

Pretty sure the truck came with Stabil.

I use BG 44K if I'm having problems with the injectors in my newer vehicles. FWIW. Seems to work well. Expensive, though.
