I have a question about yr holly carb. I have one and I am considering putting it on my 1980 cj5. does all the vacum lines work out. I know that the threads that I have read u have to eliminate the canister lines.

Re the Motorcraft and vent lines, you can get the 2100 with a bowl vent line. The successor to the 2100, the 2150, was used on 360 Grand Wagoneers right up to the last year (1992) and these carbs supported all the changes and additions to emissions equipment along the way. Either your source who cancelled the vent lines wanted an excuse to remove them, or didn't know what they were doing. Got a specific reference?

The Holley from a Dodge must have had the smaller base pattern of the BBD (your carb). I presume your Jeep is a 2V, not a 1V - the civilian 258 Jeeps in 1980 all had 2V carbs. The Holley mentioned above would be different from the 2V aftermarket 2300 carb - which has the same base pattern as the 2100, but is a lot more difficult to adapt to offroad use.
