    No a 1979 CJ-5 top will not work.

    We've discussed top fitment here time and time again.

    Cliff's notes version:
    1955-1975
    1976-1983

    That is all.

    Hey! As a new member here, I am kicking myself in the a** right now for not reading every danged thread! I searched and searched for a hard top for my '56 CJ5 and finally gave up and purchased a new Supertop. I wish now I had found this thread and realized some of you got some you're willing to part with! :mad:
