I was wondering, when I change over to disc brakes on my 67 cj5 dana 27 fronts, will I be able to use 78 f150 stock wheels? I want the jeep to look as stock as possible. I have found a 76 scoutii in the junkyard with the 1 1/8 rotors. Will the scout backing plates work? By the way ,its -4 here in Indiana today. Thanks for any help,MR HANEY

Should work. The '78 ford should have discs, so they should clear. You could try to put the wheel on the scout to be sure. I am planning the same swap, but I may just use the steel wheels off of the donor scout. Or, I know my brother has a totaled '93 with aluminum wheels.... I haven't started trying to talk him out of those yet.

If your center hole is 4 1/4" on the Ford wheels they'll work, I've had to put some Ford truck eheels on a lathe and turn the centers out to make work. The Scout wheels will work.

    nickmil In mothballs.

The Scout caliper brackets will work but will need redrilled as Scout had 8 bolts holding the bracket and spindle to the knuckle and Jeep only had 6. It's no big deal though, done it lots of times. Nickmil

The stock wheels from the Ford will not work because your lockouts are too big for the center holes in the Ford wheels how ever if they are aftermarket they will work , the scout wheels will also work because they have the larger center hole I hope this helps:)
