    Greetings y'all, it's been a while.
    Hey, I have an opportunity to p/u a '48 willys rolling chassis w/ a v6 in it.
The guy says it's a 225, and I know there were some older versions out there that I do not want.
Can anyone advise me on how to tell them apart?
    Thanks, Art

Other than ID #'s from the block, the 198 has a round bellhousing bolt pattern whereas the 225 has one just like all later Buicks, Olds, Pontiac, and Cadillac. Nickmil

    Thanks Nick,
I was kind of guessing in that general direction.
    Wish me luck.
Then for the install the questions:
    Continue with t90?
What's it cost to get an sm420 into the new driveline?
    Will the radiator need modifications?
    Sorry, can't help myself...

Thanks Lynn, good to be back...
    Ja, pix. That'd be good.
I'll be picking it all up this saturday.
Maybe I'll figure out how to get pictures up after that.

Lot's of decissions to make too.
Like, keep it simple, just use the t90.
Or spend the extra time and cash on setting up with an sm420.
    One step at a time.

    Thanks, Art

    Sorry guys, no pictures.
The "gentleman" I was buying it from sold it to someone else.
I guess that was his right, but it burns me up to have an agreement go sour.
Maybe it's meant to go differently/better later.

Sorry to hear the deal went south Art.
Like you, I expect that when someone gives their word on a deal, their word is as good as your own. Sadly that is often not the case.

You're right, this wasn't the right deal for you. Keep looking, your deal is out there...
    Good luck!!
