Anyone have a (relatively) easy way to pull the tapered rear axles of a Dana 44 from a 3A? I'm going to be replacing bearings and installing a locker. I don't know if there is a special puller involved or maybe an adapted slide hammer. Thought I'd check with the knowledge bank before I wreck something important.

Thanks for the links, though the axles discussed are different that the ones in my Jeep. I have that puller...that is what I used to pull the drums off the axle. Then I took off the backing plates, and was left with just tapered axles. I suppose that now the drums are free I can slide them back on, thread on the axle nut and use the drums as a slide hammer to yank out the axles. Sorry if it has already been discussed, I just didn't find anything myself when I searched.
