tires: 32's rear, 33's front

    Correct, but I'd be more concerned with the transfer case and u- joints, etc.

    Back in the old days of racing, we ran paddles with small front tires, just used different gear ratios (swapped in a different axle, 3.73's in the rear and 3.31's in the front/low range). There is a formula.... I'd have to look that one up, but I think I saw it here...someplace, also.
    I think fords with 44 f and 9" r could run with 5.38's and 5.43's without to much bind. Like what was said USE ONLY ON LOOSE SURFACES!!! Even on hard dirt you sometimes have to back up slowly while pulling on the 4wd stick to get it out of 4wd.
    When I ice raced, I had bigger tires on the front, worked kind of like front wheel drive for better handling, but only an inch or so.
    Adjust your air pressure to help equalize size, too!

    there's a % that is tolerated... toyota guys run 5:38's and 5:29's when they swap a D44 in the front and keep a toy rear axle. no issues at all. one guy i know has this and dual tcases.
