stock shackle

    what is the hole to hole distance on stock shackles for a 73 cj5? im trying to restore her.

    Should be right around 3-1/4" or 3-1/2".

    hmm mine right now is sitting at 4 inches which means I have about a half inch lift.I wonder what would happen if i put the 2.5 inch lift shackles on her
    . thanks for the reply im sure ill have more questions as I go along with my project

    Putting them on the front would reduce your castor, possibly opening up some handling issues.
