I have done a forum search and did not find any definite answers on this. I have heard that many of the parts are interchangable between the 2 trannys but I am having a hard time finding a complete rebuild kit for the T98, but can find them for the T-18 for $125 or so.

Will the gaskets from a T-18 work on the T-98?

Will the input and output bearings and the other internals from the kit fit?

    Has anyone here tried it?

I dont have a direct answer to your question, but a freind of mine rebuilt my T-98 for me, I can ask him where he got the parts if you like.

The T-18 gaskets will work. If you buy a rebuild kit for a T-18 you will end up missing some bearings as the T-98 uses needle roller bearings for some of the gears and the T-18 does not. I'd contact Hermtheoverdriveguy for a rebuild kit or Novak. Nickmil
