OK, I read all the old posts and realize I am not the only one!! But this thing won't come off with any puller combo I have. SO has anyone tried cutting the steering wheel hub length wise with a cut off wheel? I just want the postal column and don't care about the wheel. It is already messed up anyway so I can't hurt it anymore.
I need to replace my Ross column with my postal column for my Herm's steering conversion. (WOW Sparky when did the live spell check start.....WAY COOL!)

The answer is yes it is quite easy to do. I cut a slot on opposite sides of the metal sleeve that is inside the steering wheel and then just pounded in a big screw driver and split it right off the splines. I sure wish I had done that before my puller crushed down the shaft threads. Off to the machine shop in the morning to see if they have a tap to try to salvage the threads.
