I have a " 68" Cj5 w/ a saginaw steering conversion. My front diff housing says it is a 27A. All of the drawings show the older style steering knuckles with a single hole in the knuckle for the tie rod. Mine has two for the saginaw steering. I have never had the knuckle apart. The later model drawing shows the two hole steering knuckle, but the other parts such as the seals , bearings and spindle look different. How is this possible? What the heck am I looking at? Did the newer knuckle interchange with the older style with minimal mods?

That knuckle was probably changed when the saggy swap was done they come on a P/U or wagon. I have the same double hole knuckle on mine.
