258 with HEI tune-up

    I got a 258 in a '74 CJ5 that the PO put HEI on.

    What's the recommended plug gap and timing advance for this setup?

    Same setup in my 74, after warmup and at idle - 13-12 BTDC with plugs gapped @ 50

    not sure what the ideal timing is, but mine is 14 btdc.

    plugs are gapped to .050
