Has anyone tried to press or drive out the bushings on lift springs? I'd kinda like to use the orional C type shackle. Wondering if anyone else has tried this.

I used a pilot tool and a 6" Kant Twist clamp. The 6" clamp has about 1800lbs of clamping pressure. I'll take the nexts ones out with my hydraulic press, now that I have one.

Don't forget to remove the metal sleeve around the bushing. Or maybe this needs to stay with C-shackles?

no, you're right the outer sleeve has to go also in order to use the C shackles has to be 7/8" diameter.

I've had good luck soaking them down with Kroil and then pressing them out with a deepwell socket and a big C-clamp.
