    5 3/4in From top of the front axle to bottum of frame. I'm trying to figure out if I have a lift kit & how big if I do. Thanks

    Oops Thought all that was in my missing Signature..
    1975 CJ5, 258 3spd, Dana 30 front, dana 44 rear, 33x12.5 tires on 15x10 trims.

    The measurement is the front axle

    Minus about 1.25" of bump stop, then you have about 4.5" of travel. That sounds like a little more than stock; certainly more than the standard springs. What's your GVWR? (You can decode it from the VIN, or if you still have the yellow dash sticker, it's there: 3750 std, 4500 opt).

    The only foolproof way to judge this is to measure and compare comparable vehicles with recent spring replacement. Maybe some owners will help out ... give it a little time. :toetap:
