4 sticks

    i'm looking at a cj3b, the guy doesn't know what year it is, it has 4 sticks for shifting , he says the stick next to the normal shifter is for shifting hi/lo in any gear, then a 4wd in/out stick, then another hi/lo. stick does he know what he's talking about ? what would i have, a 3 or 4 speed, or what DO i have ? & how does it work ? i'm lost !

    Prolly a 3 sp with an overdrive lever and a twinstick transfercase

    Sounds like a stock 3 speed with an overdrive attached to the transfer case. Do a search (Warn Overdrive) here and you'll find all you need to know. He's right in his description, should be from left to right: trans shifter, OD shifter, hi/lo range shifter, 4wd in/out shifter. HTH

    tranny=1
    t-case= two more high low and 2/4 wheel drive
    Od= one on or off (.75 to 1 or 1 to 1)

    actually it would be:
    trans shifter, OD shifter, 4wd in/out shifter, hi/lo range shifter

    Actualy I think it is a stock T-90 a Warn overdrive, and a T-18 transfercase!!!!!!!!!
