warn bellview m6000 winch

    has anyone built a mount for one of these winches? any pictures would be a great help.

    The mounts are the same for a Warn 8274. You might look on Warn's site for some ideas. Also do a search on this site as there have lots of pics posted over the last couple of years (hopefully they are still available for viewing). I'm sorry I don't have any as I run PTO winches. Nickmil

    Pretty much the mount you get from warn is a 9x9 piece of bent 1/4 inch plate. Not much to it. it would be easy to make your own. Either get the metal bent or take 2 pieces of plate and weld together to make a 90 degree angle, but make sure you add gussets if you do it that way. Heck i even added gussets to the mount i had that was made by WARN.

    bellview uses 6 mounting bolts while the 8274 only uses 4. if you get the warn mount you'll have to drill 2 holes :rofl: anyway, pretty esay to fab up, over build it. 3/8" plate is good.

    I have never seen a winch mount that had to much steel on it, but it just needs to be as strong as your frame.

    oh, stupid typo. i meant 5/16." yeah 3/8" is way to much.
