Anyone ever added on to the factory skid to protect the ebrake assembly or the gap in between the oil pan/tranny plate?? It just seems like everything under goldmember is getting beat on and skint up on the trail. It will get lifted sometime but until then I'd like to at least protect the stuff so it dosnt get ruined. Plus it will also help slide along the big ol rocks that I probably shouldnt be trying to go over :)

A skidplate is one of the things i have on the drawing board. i was just going to cut some 1 inch tubing and recreat the same angles as the original crossmember, and run a plate as far back and front as i can.It wont be a flat belly, but i really am not concerned with how the original tranny and skidplate sits. Shouldnt be that hard, just make a frame work and palte it up, and make a cutout for the driveshafts so they can flex.

Thats what I'm thinking. We've got some other late model CJ skid plates laying around that I might be able to work off. Just trying to figure out what all I can get done before tellico. Hopefully I'll get it on the lift this weekend and be able to knock some stuff out underneath it fairly easily..
