Do you think this is a 73 frame. The PO made so many modifications I am not sure and some of you are so good at telling just by looking I thought it was worth asking here.

Looks original. Motor on the outside, shape, big glass and bottom wipers are right. Would have been black originally. No way to narrow it down though - could be from late 60s through 1975.

I"m no expert, but it sure looks like my '73.

Timgr, I know all the early CJ5's were black, but I thought they started painting them body color with the intermediates. I don't believe mine was ever painted prior to my repaint and it was body color. Also it was body color under the windshield to cowl weather strip. I really like the look of the black w/s frame and if mine is not correct I will probably repaint to black.

Thanks guys. I just needed to know if was pre or post 75, so when I look for a hard top I get the correct one. Currently, the roll cage is to tall for a hard top, so I need to cut it and remount it.

Thanks, I like the backyard. 221 acres on the Central Coast of Cali. Get to go wheelin in the backyard and the winter makes some REALLY good mud fun. Can't wait to get some of this work done to it and get it out on the trail.

Wow! I get all hot 'n bothered when I see a house on a half-acre lot with a big shop out back. If I lived on a place that big I'd probably have a heart attack from joy.
