I'm thinking of removing the god awful body lift that is currently on my 73. Any tips, suggestions before I begin. Or If I take it to the local shop. What kind of $$'s am I looking at to have it done by a pro??

Just make sure everything is supported good when you jack it up to take it out, and watch all your shift linkages and your steering column, some of those might have to be shortened if they were lengthened when the body lift was installed. I don't have a clue what someone would charge to take it off for you, but it should be easy enough for you to do it yourself.

Make sure to have a sawzall, chisel, BFH and a nut splitter ready. Oh and plenty of

Also helps to have a floor jack and or a Hi-Lift to move the body about.

it shouldnt be to bad, i did the same to my old 70, i had a buddy help and we used two highlifts and some blocking...was fairly simple once you got the bolts off......like laready stated plenty of beer and some helpful "tools" and you should be all set
