I need a replacemnent end "cap" located at the rear output shaft of my T-18 transfer case. The area where the stud goes for the Ebrake lever is so badly broken it can't be repaired. I have a T-20 from a 69 Jeep truck with the Ebrake attached in the same way as my T-18. Can I assume the end cap is identical for both style transfer cases? Thanks.

    A "T18" is a transmission. I assume you're refering to a Dana 18 and Dana 20 transfer case?

Thank you for the correction. Yes, I'm talking about the tranafer cases and I have always been confused as to what short hand to use. D-18, D-20?.
It just so happens the D-20 is attached to a T-18.

If you are talking about the housing that the parking brake backing plate bolts to, then no, they are not interchangeable. The D-20 is a centered output transfer case with a longer housing and different bolt pattern than the Dana 18. You need the housing for the 18. It's real common for the stud to get bent/broken or the housing to get broken where the stud is pinned in. R&P, Krage, and several others should be able to supply you with the housing you need if you can't find one on here. I'd put it in the Want To Buy section if you haven't already as I'm sure someone probably has one laying around. Nickmil

Here are some pictures of the piece I need on the back of the D-18. This D-18 has no Ebrake drum because it on an FC with The Ebrake on the rear axle.
Also there are pictuires of the D-20 on the back of the T-18. There is definately a difference. Thanks Nickmil.
