YJ gas tank in a CJ5?

    A buddy has a YJ stock tank he is giving away. So i am thinking bout seeing if it will fit under the rear of the CJ. How much wider was say a CJ7 tank from a cj5 tank? I know i have to fab things to get it to work, but curious if it will fit between the frame rails.

    I can wait Jerry, i dont think the tank is going anywhere. I would like to get a little more gas capacity in the jeep, i dont go rel far now.. given it is in the garage apart ;)

    All the YJ tanks are 20 gallon capable. Just a slight mod to the fill hose.
