Disking foodplots came to an abrupt stop Monday.
The rear crossmember and a bent drawbar seem to be the only casultys, although I still have a 3 spoke imprint in my chest from my introduction to the steering wheel. [IMG]

Man, thats terrible to hear that about your Jeep.

Oh, and I guess your chest too.:) You must destroy this stump now, and let your Jeep watch.

As Solomon said, It is the heart of a pine tree that has died, and the rotted away except for the heart. Fat lighter is full of cured resin, and burns easily, very hot, and makes great fire starter.

Donnie, hope your chest is feeling better. Will the repairs to the JEEP be difficult? Hope it all turns out well.

It will be an easy fix and I can now take that hitch off in my sleep.
besides it gives me a chance to reengeener the rear supports what fun!
The fatlighter(or lightwood)stump is hard as iron and has a deep tap root.It will come out of the ground and give me many a start to a roaring fire in my new fireplace.
See there is always a silver lining.

there could be a benefit from finding a lighter stump......... hack its rotting heart to bits and then sell the bits on e-bay as fire starters, use the money to buy something nice for the jeep or ....... yourself. there are areas in the country where lighter isnt available and they would buy it with minimal effort on your part.
