ok so i see fender flares on plenty of of jeepsters. What flares would be the best fit for my 1971 jeepster? I've heard YJ and TJ flares will work with some metal cutting but what else is there? Also my wiring harness is a mess.. I have two of them one of them has been cut and is missing clips and plugs, the other one looks good but does nothing when it's hooked up. what should i do? buy a new one or try and repair the ones i have?

    Welcome from KS!

Looking at the outline of the rear wheelwell on a Commando I'd say off the top of my head a TJ flare would follow the lines nicely. Don't know that for sure though.

On the wiring thing, I believe electrical stuff is hard enough as it is. Why make it harder with a mish-mash of wires. I rewired mine using an EZ-Wire 12. Cost me $150 and every wire is labeled and I have a fuse block now.

The old Wagoneer/Cherokee/Gladiator are about as close as you can get to a direct fit from what I've heard, 60's early 70's. Hardest part of the install-actually finding one but they are out there. Seen a few come up on Ebay. Anything else will need fabrication to install. I'll be doing a Chey S10 in the wife's Half Cab, eventually.
