I realized that the floorboards on the Jeep were to far gone to save. I busted out the compressor and Impact Ratchet and here are the results, Jeep parts everywhere and the Wife is fraking out because to her it is now a bunch of junk instead of a lot of potential. Any sugestions as to how I should go about removing the bad Sheet Metal would be appreciated. I am going to clean and paint the frame while it is convenient to do so. What company has the best Bushing/Body Mount kit for this Jeep as all the old rubber is shot. I also need a complete fastener kit as most of the bolts broke off instead of turning off with the Impact. Oh, and the Red Chevy in the background is my new hauler. The Wife and I comprimised and got the Chevy and are working on finding her a Minivan instead of a 1 Ton Van.

Looks like you were really busy. Good start. It will be really nice to have all that cleaned up and coated.

Make sure the wife knows that you are not alone in the Resting In Pieces club. ;)
4wd has the body mount bushings but not the tub bolts.

I got all my tub bolts at my local Tractor Supply store. Grade 8, something like $2.50/lb.

No shop, Carport in Military Family Housing. Just had the Inspector knock on my door and read me the riot act for doing "Major Vehicle Maintenance" in my driveway. I told him to give me a house with a garage. Guess I need to throw a tarp over the mess. You guys are giving me a lot of inspiration for the jeep. Check out http://www.earlycj5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33357 this one gave me more ideas that will get me in more trouble, but I figure that while I have a rolling Chasis...

Remind the military housing guy that Jeeps were originally military vehicles and you are restoring a military artifact.

Try Totally Stainless for fasteners. Authentic looking recessed heads and each set comes in individually labelled bags. Partial application sets and whole vehicle sets availabe. IFAK the usual cushion between body and frame was thin rubber or nothing. I used the thin rubber mounts (1/2 inch) and have only minor binding of D18 single lever. AM

Or you can buy a set of Prothane disks (black or Red).
