Boy it was hot this weekend, and the rain coming earlier in the afternoon didnt help much , so i am behind schedule. But i got the new frame situated. I still need to add some more steel to connect the outer frame rail to the inner one. I will need to remove the axles and cut off the mounts and weld in the new ones. I am going to just used the "C" channel i have and go all the way across from rail to rail, this way i will have extra bracing in the middle for flex, but i dont not expect any problems, the trailer is built with some heavy gauge steel. 3/16 square tubing, and 1/4 angle iron, along with the 4 inch channel i have for the rails. Also going to make holders on th eside towards the front for the ramps.

there were two more stands under it. I just put the tires back under the jeep so i can yank out the tranny this week to get the dana 18 isntalled, then get my rear perch to get it mobile again

That trailer looks HEAVY DUTY. What are you axles rated at?

The axles i got are 6000 lb rating. fortunately a friend of mine has access to the old equipment trailers, the axles usually last longer than the traielr itself. so i am getting rid of the old cruddy axles and putting the new ones on. I laid the new axles on and they are nice, and will be an 1 1/2 of space compared to how clsoe it is now. i also will put fenders on it also.

it wasnt supporting anything. it was just back there to be there if something bad happened. the jeep is on stands. I seldom use the high lift, i have a floor jack that is much easier.

It is going to be wood. I can use most of what i had, just need to buy one or 2 planks, to make it complete.

AS long as your trailer is you could angle down the back of it some then your ramps wouldnt have to be long at all
Also i like having the ramps folded up behind iti seems to give you a little added safety iif something came loose
