Setting up tandem trailer axles

    I got my steel today, adn got my new tandem axle mounting kit. my question is, what is the formula to monut that axles to the trailer? My traielr is 14 foot long. Currently the axles are jsut past the center towards the rear. I want to push the axles back a bit. How much.. i jsut dont know. What is the formula for this?

    60% Dan. That is the center of your spring equalizer is at 60% mark of your length. THats not counting your tongue length now. Probably somewhere around the 81/2 foot mark. If you want it to pull good. hth
