Hmmm, so is mine, still don't fit. I guess a top with no doors will be better than no top at all though.

I've gotta agree with Sparky on this, I wouldn't mind a hard top, but I prefer the soft tops.

I would like one, but I'd be scared that with a hardtop it'd be so much trouble that I wouldn't ever take it off, or put it back on. The soft tops look like a one man job. Hard tops not.

Now, I've never had a hardtop on mine but my dad did on his '73, and IIRC the soft tops are actually quieter....

Especially quieter than the metal ones. Either one can be a one man job, but the soft tops are usually alot easier, and quicker to take off. Plus, you always have the option of taking the top down when you are away from home when you have a soft top. It's kinda hard to store the hardtop and full doors behind the back seat.:) :)

Fiberglass tops are quieter than metal or soft. At least in my experience. Not boomy, or loud from wind noise.

    Not a Caddillac though. ;)

I'm starting to lean more towards the soft top. At least with that you could put it on real quick if it started raining. Seems to be a lot more versatile.

I'd bet you would be happier, but, there are people who prefer a hard top......

How durable are the soft tops. I don't try to tear things up, but I've never been mistaken as one to baby a vehicle.

They are tuffer than most people think, with a little care every now and then. Mine have been through all kinds of stuff, and still seem to be holding up nicely.

Sounds good. Is Bestop the "premiere" soft top manufacturer, or are there other quality brands?

Used to be Kayline, I believe they are now Specialty Tops... But, I would go Bestop....

I doubt I would go any other way than Bestop, but that is just my opinion.:) :)
