steering wheel removal

    75 with the stock wheel. got the 1.25 nut off but it looks like a puller wont work. tryed a BFH butt i fear i might break something else. anyone point me in the right direction?

    come on! theres got to be an easy way out. i think ill just pull the shaft and drag it to work with me behind the yj. think that would do it?

    Use one of these BEHIND (under) the steering wheel:

    ...and one of these in FRONT (above) the wheel:

    Oh, and soak the daylights out of the splines with Kroil or P-B Blaster for a day or so before you even try to pull the wheel off. Lesser penetrants are generally a waste of time IMHO.

    I dont care if I destroy the old wheel. anyone try a sawzall? one nice cut parallel with the splines should do it?
