Thanks for all the header advice. I am to the point of final placement of the v6. I am useing the mounts from a cj5. The engine is set closer to the drivers side approx. 1 inch. My question is forward/rearward placement. Also engine degree angle/tilt forward, rearward. Right now as it sits there is about 2 inches between the closest fan blade (bottom one) and the radiator. The drivers side valve cover is missing the firewall by 1/2". I think another inch forward is possible. If so the motor mounts will start climbing the rise in the frame rails. Will this cause problems with the mounts binding. What Angle works best for the front to rear angle measured at the carb. mounting plate. I have a holley street dominator intake I am trying to use at this point. Thanks

I used the same mounts as you.
You still have to consider all the variables :
    cooling/fan
    pedals/linkage
    exhaust/steering
    m/cyl
    trans-t.case shift levers
    front d/shaft
    crossmember
    underhood clearance

assuming you still have the front tube crossmember under the radiator, I used this as a reference point for my measurements.
From the engine side of the that crossmember, to the centerline of the frame mounts, the top tab that should have a hole in it, mine measures very close to 15", both sides. This left me with about 1" clearance for the drivers valve cover. And the frame mount is slightly on the uphill portion of the frame where it rises. I also have my battery in the RF corner, so that could have weighed on placement for me as well.
I can't seem to locate my angle gauge, but the rear tilt isn't much.
I am running the T90 and stock rubber trans mount; the crossmember is bolted straight to the frame without any drop spacers if this helps.
