Can This Be Fixed?

    Bad break passenger side of frame at the crossmember. 70 CJ5. Can this be mended and be reliable?

    Shouldn't be too hard to fix. Find some C-channel to use and make sure you get the frame back in the right spot. That is if I am looking at the pic right.

    Yes, C channel and boxing is completely broken at the juncture of the front crossmember. Right where the shock mount rivets to both parts.

    yes,
    fish plates on the sides and 2" x1/4 strap top and bottom grind breaks in a bevel weld solid then opposte of support or fish plates stitch it up between.

    Yes, I just repaired my frame in the same place (2" crack) just before Windrock. Remove shock for lots of room. A post wheelin insp revealed no new problems.
