Ok, I'm new here, but I've got a 73 cj5 that I'm working on improving. It just got a rebuilt 360 a few months back, and then my buddy and I cut out the bottom of the tub, floorboards and all, and created new supports with channel steel and a diamond plate steel floor. Anyways, while doing that, since the wiring was original and pretty much shot, I tore all of it out. I'm pretty capable with wiring, so I just replaced it all myself rather than spending the money for a harness, which means that I also tore out the rotted plugs. My question is this... I was wondering if anyone knew the schematics and color-coding of this turn signal.

This is one of the few things I have left to wire, but without a guide it can be quite difficult, especially seperating turn signal wires from hazard wires and the likes. If you are not sure of wiring schematics, but you do use this same turn signal, it would help if you could just look at your plug and tell me the wire color for each position. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if anyone has any wiring questions for me, I'm new to the jeep thing, but I'm fairly capable with wiring.

You might want to double check yours to see if it is the same one. Originally, they didn't have the hazard switch built in (that silver switch beneath the lever in the picture), it was on the dash.

The wiring diagrams for original switches will be different as those units (aftermarket, not original) route into your brake light switch, both flashers (turn and hazard) and the parking lights, as well.

One other note... you can get that from your local NAPA, as well, and, in my opinion, it's worth it. 6 wires (documented in the insrtructions) and you are done.

I already have that switch, and it does include the hazard below the arm. I really only need to know which wires go where on it.
