bad morning(rear end trouble)

I was towing the jeep home from washing it down (rolling chassis) when I heard wheels screaming, for some reason both rear wheels were not rotating like normal. I pulled from the side of the road into the walmart parking lot jakced up the rear end and both the tires spin freely. So I came back home got the trailer and trailerd back. but now its raining preaty bad. Guess Ill wait itout to pull the diff. cover off and investigate the problem. Im never going to get this thing running. vent off

 

Could the brakes have siezed up? Other possibility, broken tooth on the ring gear or pinion. Small piece of metal wedged in gear for a moment. Go ahead and vent. If you are anything like the rest of us, there'll be plenty more where that came from. LOL
