Gas Tank and Skid Plate

Anyone tried the Gas Tank and Skid Plate from 4wd,com? I have a 74 CJ-5 that the PO removed the tank and put one under the seat. Looking to go back to stock location. Was wondering if the skid plate lines up with the rear crossmember OK or will I need to fab up some new brackets?

I haven't tried one for any of my Jeeps yet, but I got one a few years ago for another vehicle of mine (I wont mention what kind of vehicle). Everything was quality and bolted in great. Not sure about your application though, but if they say it will work, chances are good it will work. Just my .02

 

I have always gotten quality parts from them. $$$ though.

I've needed one for a couple of months now - took my old leaking tank out - ran out of $$ and am also sceptical of the ones I've seen. I need to get a tank before all the summer wheelin' is gone.

Just put a new tank in my 75 this weekend. Fit was great. Did not use a new skid plate. I used the old one. Never had a problem with the stuff I got from them.
