Ok, ready to put my brakes back on, and I realized.... I'm not sure which direction they go on...

What I mean is, based on the pic, is the cable supposed to go towards the rear of the vehicle, or the front?

Brian, I'll default to anyone with a scan of the FSM or more direct experience than I, but the way you have it set up appears to be for the driver's side. That is to say that I believe that you have the cable arranged correctly for the driver's side.

BUT.....IIRC, you need to swap shoes, short goes forward when you have the adjuster.

AND....be sure that when the lever goes up and then comes back down on the star adjuster that it gets LONGER, not shorter. (The star adjusters come left and right handed)

You are going to run to the FLAPS and pick up a new spring kit for this aren't you?

The whole setup is new (or so I'm told - just bought it off Dennis). This is how it was when I got it, before I took it apart.

The one shown in the pic is set up correctly for the passenger side. Long shoe to the rear, self adjuster cable, etc. on the long shoe towards the rear, adjust "star" or cogged wheel if you will lined up with window in the backing plate. The only queston would be the wheel cylinder which we can't see from the pic. The fitting hole in the wheel cylinder IIRC should be angled toward the rear of the vehicle. Nickmil.

Thanks, guys! I had the wheel cylinder figured out, that one is fairly obvious, but wasn't sure on the rest.

Back to the barn with me.... :D
