Ok, 3/4 of my shackle bushings have the center rubber pushed out, with the outer sleeve still in the frame. I have all new bushings ready to go, but I can NOT get these old sleeves out. Any suggestions?

Get an air chisle right away. They're only $30 or so. It will save you HOURS of work. Trust me, I know...

Cut the metal bushing with a hack saw blade to give it space to wrinkle in. Use a hand chisel or air one (depending on your budget).

Just did that very thing two weeks ago. I'd still be whopping on it without an air chisel. I didn't cut it however, just brute force and ignorance. :smash:

Search! We've covered this quite in depth. What kinda geek are you? Not very 1337 are we? R)

Hacksaw blade and a deep well socket to drive it out. BTDT on several.

Wasn't hours of work as Dennis suggested but it was more work than an air chisel I'm sure.

did that exact same thing. took me about 10 min max on each one. used a small hand chisel. if you really want to you can heat up the rubber with a heat gun but it does't help much. most of the time was spent sawing with a dullish hacksaw blade.
