Oil Light

    Here another answer to a question that bothered me most.

    I've converted my OIL and AMP lights to blink when the right and left turn signals are activated. :D

    bypassed mine when I added the aftermarket gauge.

    So...if I read this right, if your oil light comes on at idle you should ignore it, but if it comes on above an idle and you have an FSM, you should shut off your jeep. did I get that right??

    I once had a Mercury Comet and the oil light kept coming on at stop lights.

    I removed the bulb and drove the car for 4 more years.

    I sold the car when I left the Azores, and it was still running fine.

    Shortly thereafter, I was told that the new owner totalled it by hitting a rock wall.

    So... if your oil light comes does not come on at soplights because the PO removed the bulb, you should not drive into rock walls??

    I spent the day in Columbia yesterday and I hope to be starting up another 12-14 month project down there in July or August.

    you can get the fsm relatively cheap on line from a number of sources. i also found it in pdf format on line somewhere.
