cj5-cj7 frame difference?

I know the over all length is different, but where is this difference at in the 76+ frame and how much?

I did a small research on this, thanks to someone here I cant recall at the time, and there is 10 inch between the two places that the spring attach at the center. Apart from that, they are pretty much the same.

I have a naked CJ-7 frame at home (1976) and I did compare some parts with my 1977 CJ-5, and they are identical (as far as I can tell).

I picked this frame, with a AMC20 axle on it, for 50$. I figured that for a set of spare axle shaft, it was worth it.

I will probably re-sell the frame to my mechanic, in exchange for a starter or something else, I'll see.
