Axle dimensions and replacement U-bolts

    What is the OD on the rear D44 on my 52 CJ3a supposed to be? I'm coming up with 2.5. THe U-bolts that came with the Superlift kit( I'm starting to wish I had gone with Rancho's) are 2.75 ID. Is that okay? The originals hugged the axle pretty tight. In fact I cut them off. I think I will go ahead and order new spring plates but, I am not sure if I should order different U-bolts as well.

    THis is where the Bad News name come from. Everytime I come in from the garage its "Bad news, I'm spending more money"

    Get new ubolts that fit the axles. Most of the kits send generic and they don't fit right.
